About Luna

Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Luna is a fun loving, loyal and happy dog. She has been with us for the past 6 years and has been so loved. When we adopted her from ACCT in Philly we didn't know she was reactive over high value items like bones and food. It wasn't a huge deal for us because we both grew up with animals and dogs and knew to not put ourselves in a position to get hurt. She has never bit us but she has snapped at my other dog Charlie. She has lived with Charlie in our home for 5 years and they get along 90% of the time (she is for sure the more dominant dog) but the other 10% of the time she can snap. She recently bit Charlie pretty good and with a 11 month old baby in the house we feel it is best to find her another home. It's not fair to Charlie (the last 2 times she bit him were totally unprovoked). She loves people once she knows you and is the happiest pup! She is poessive over high value items and will growl if you are too close or trying to take them away from her. She is house trained and knows not to go on the furniture. She loves to play with toys and can either be a total couch potato or be your running partner. We have been trying to re-home her for a year and called TONS of shelters. They are all full and do not want to take a reactive dog that needs to be the only dog in the home with no kids. This is our last ditch effort to find her a home or we will be faced with the choice to bring her back to ACCT Philly (which is a very full shelter with a high rate of euthanizing dogs) or put her down. We would LOVE nothing more than to find her a home where she will be taken care of and loved just as much as we love her! Not a shadow of a doubt that she would make the right person a amazing dog!!!
