About Samoa

People are probably going to take one look at Samoa's picture and assume he's a big, strong tough guy. They'd be wrong! He may be 3YO but he's a little baby at heart. He likes lots of assurances. He's a bit of a nervous boy, but still so friendly! He thrives on being comforted and pet by people. We're not sure what his life was like before being found as a stray, but he does a lot of hunkering in on himself and flinches at loud noises or sudden movements. He could just be overwhelmed by the stressful shelter environment. It's clear Samoa cares a lot about people though. He's always careful to walk gently on leash so he won't pull you around. He also takes treats nice and kindly from your hand. He's not one to get overexcited and jump up on you either - he's much more of a calming presence. What Samoa likes best in this world is being pet. It makes him feel so happy and comforted! He'd love to sprawl out on a couch next to you and soak up all the love you have to give! Samoa is a 3YO Pit Bull/German Shepherd mix who came into the shelter as a stray on 9/27/23. He weighs 61 lbs.
