About Tripp

Tripp was in a hoarding situation with approximately 40 other animals and was rescued when he was about 4 months old. He went directly to a foster home. We adopted him when he was about 9 months old. He is 4 years old; I do not know his birth date. We have had him 3 1/2 years. At times, Tripp is affectionate with my husband, but other times he growls at him. It seems to happen when my husband walks into a room that I am in so I assume Tripp thinks he needs to protect me. My husband has Parkinson's Disease so I do not know if this is part of the problem. My husband has high anxiety, due to the Parkinson's, and Tripp's behavior toward him contributes to the anxiety. Tripp is fine around adults and children, once he is slowly introduced to them. Tripp is neutered and is up to date with all his vaccinations. He is crate trained and is house trained. He likes to go for walks, car rides, run and play. He knows these commands: sit; shake; stay; lay down; leave it; hop in your crate. He can be very loving and sweet with me, and like I stated earlier, at times with my husband, too. I do not want to rehome Tripp but its just too much for my husband. We adopted him from Perry County Animal Rescue but they don't have the space to take him back. If another rescue is taking him they would do a rescue transfer. Please contact me if you're interested in meeting him!
