About Ajax and Comet

Australian Kelpie mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Ajax and Comet are seeking a Kelpie rescue or competent adopter as these boys are in need of training and someone who understands the breed. They are wonderful boys with awesome temperaments but are in dire need of training as they are pretty much blank slates with good hearts! These two had a rough start in life being found in a rural ditch malnourished and suffering with skin issues and oral papilloma which is highly contagious among canines. We didn't realize the virus had been contracted until our rescue saved them and took them immediately to the vet. They were about 4 months at the time and it took another good four months to clear the virus and pose no threat to other dogs. So they lived isolated in a pen in a bedroom all that time missing out on training and other aspects of social maturity. Sadly I have way too many rescue dogs to have the time or the energy to provide these two the training they need and deserve so I am looking for other options. Ajax and Comet are fully vetted and weight about 35# each. They are sweet just exuberant and don't harbor an ounce of meanness. I pray they can each find someone who has the time to devote to their needs as their predicament is through no fault of their own. In over 15 years in rescue and having dealt with probably thousands of dogs in all kinds of sad conditions, I had never had a case of oral Pappiloma before. They are doing great now however and their immune systems are strong! I pray for their bright future! Maybe you can help?!?
