Due to some life circumstances, we are currently downsizing, selling our home and planning on living in an RV, in the very near future. Scotchy is such an anxious, fearful little pup we will most likely be unable to keep him in the RV. At least for awhile we will be parked near other people and he will constantly be losing his mind. Rehoming him is a truly very difficult decision but one that seems to be the only real solution. He barks at everything, imagined or real, is very defensive of us, and has started nipping or snapping at others. He's not an aggressive dog and this seems to be coming purely from his fear and anxiety. I've never dealt with anything quite like this, and don't have any real knowledge on how to help him. He needs to be with someone experienced in dog behavior, possibly needs medicated. He's so worried he doesn't seem happy most of the time, only when he is getting one on one cuddles. If you would like to adopt him or know someone you trust who might, please let me know. I'm really struggling with this, but I think it's the right decision and is a very necessary one. Scotchy is 4 1/2 and is a Chiweenie (he is 1/4 dachshund and 3/4 chihuahua. He is currently living with a 5 yr old female chiweenie, a 2 yr old dachshund and a cat. We are located in Sophia, NC.
