About TAYLOR

American Staffordshire Terrier / Lab
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Taylor is 4 years old, and we believe he is part American Staffordshire Terrier and part Labrador. Taylor is quite an amazing dog. Everyone who's met him truly falls for him. As his guardian and someone who has spent much time with Taylor and knows him very well, I can tell you that Taylor is intelligent, intuitive, and so much fun. We came across Taylor while looking at sheltered dogs on Instagram, and we had to make a difference in this overlooked boy's life. After 460+ days at the shelter, Taylor was on his way to Linda Blair Worldheart Rescue. I read up on Taylor and watched videos of him, and I was determined to save Amazing Taylor! Taylor is the coolest and most confident kid on the block, and all of the other dogs want to hang out with him on the playground. He is very athletic and can jump over tall fencing. Taylor loves to play bow and run, and loves to be chased. When excited, he can play a little rowdy, but it's all in fun. I do suggest that if you have kids that they be 12 and up, and if you have other dogs that they be larger dogs with the same play style. No small dogs or cats. He loves to roll around on the ground, is great on a leash, and even stops to make sure you're okay if you slip on gravel, and he's even helped me find my keys. He understands commands, he does sit for treats, and he takes treats very gently. Taylor and I have hiked for hours at a time, so he would be great to take on hikes. Make sure you pack two bottles of cold water for Taylor, because he will give you a head nudge when it's time to take a drink. It's the cutest thing ever to see him drinking while you're holding and tipping his bottle up to his mouth as he takes a drink. He does enjoy watching the horses we come across on the trail as they interact with one another. I usually pack a lunch, consisting of Taylor's favorite chicken jerky with plenty of water, and we spend our afternoon there. Taylor makes the perfect hiking and running companion, and he does run very fast. At the Agoura Hills Shelter, Taylor took on the role as helper dog for behavior assessments when new dogs came in. He was the shelter's favorite. Taylor will fill your life with unconditional love, lots of laughs, and he'll keep you active and healthy. At the end of the day, Taylor does love to snuggle up to you while reminiscing about the day and thanks you for loving him with gratitude licks to your face. Taylor is pretty close to perfect, and there is a video of him while at Agoura Hills Shelter where he is with volunteer Tamy and he is picking out his bandana for his debut as dog of the week on ABC 7 Community. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQKWU4IgM4j/?utm_medium=share_sheet If you would like to know more about Taylor, please reach out to me at [email protected] It's time for Taylor to be with his forever family in his forever home.
