Peanut is a great high energy pup who I have been providing temporary care for after a friend surrendered her to me, as he was unable to afford/provide her basic needs. As she was fairly dehydrated and lethargic when I brought her home, I'm uncertain of any long-term effect, but in the three days she's been at my house, she has gained probably a third of her weight back, 60% of her energy level. I was very concerned on day 1 (Monday) that she may have long term vision damage, as her right eye was very cloudy and had a significant amount of discharge but in the last 3 days as she has slept and gotten her diet corrected it seems to have cleared up significantly. Any veterinarian concerns that I may have had from her diet being neglected have resolved themselves within the last 72 hours and while I do not know for sure, I assume she should have no long-term damage medically speaking. Though she has not yet been vaccinated nor spayed. She hasn't been completely potty trained but with frequent trips outside and a bit of walking involved, she rarely has accidents. Overall she is a very obedient, happy, snugly, loving, high energy, and adorable pet.
