About Benito

Adoption Fee: 445
Cairn mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Benito is a 1 year old, 15 lbs, cairn terrier yorkie mix. All this little terrier wants to do is be close to his person, preferably a female, but with time he adjusts to men.%A0 He's young, playful and full of energy!%A0 Benito deeply bonds and loves to sit beside you and get cuddles. He will run around the house, enjoys walks (he is good on a leash) but mostly he likes to lounge close to you. He does not like the crate unless you are nearby, he prefers to follow you around the house. He does let you know if he has to go out. This submissive easy going pup is fine with the foster's teen but we don't recommend younger kids since he can get nervous. He is good with his foster dogs: curious, a little nervous but playful. He passes other dogs well on the street. He has growled at men in passing; no real aggression likely fear; he came from an abusive situation. Benito's foster writes, 'Benito is an incredibly loving boy! He would do best with owners who are home most of the time, because he gets incredibly bonded to his humans. He just loves sitting in the same room as his owner, and sitting on the couch together for snuggles. He does whimper if his owner goes into another room so he needs to be able to follow you around the house. However, he is perfectly behaved in a crate overnight as long as he is in the same room as me.%A0 He is just a very chilled out and sweet dog. He is polite when meeting other dogs on the streets, and has been great with most strangers but does prefer women.' If you would like to be considered for Benito, please fill out an adoption application at www.crisisdogsnc.org.%A0 After the application is submitted, someone from our screening team will reach out. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application.
