Dear fellow compassionate big dog lovers, It is with a heavy heart that I come seeking your help in finding a forever home for my special companion. Please be kind because this is extremely heartbreaking. I want to do the best thing for Jasper and find a loving and caring home where he can run and play outside because he deserves that. Unfortunately, due to financial and personal reasons, we are unable to keep him. Jasper is a 13 months old, neutered Labrador/German Shepard with a dash of Great Dane mix who has been raised in an apartment. In spite of the challenges he's faced, he has a heart full of love and a very playful spirit that can brighten anyone's day. He's super sweet and enjoys your companionship and the company of others, especially dogs. Jasper is still a puppy and behaves as one. He loves to play with other dogs. He loves running, playing fetch, tug a war and exploring. Enjoys early morning walks/runs, making him an ideal addition for an active couple. However, he is still learning boundaries and may need some guidance in understanding when playtime is over. Jasper has mastered the 'sit & stay' command but would benefit from additional training and much attention to help him reach his full potential. *All shots are current (10/7/23) Considerations: %BD' Due to his apartment upbringing; He was raised on puppy pads. He no longer needs them; he does great outside. - Currently afraid of kennels (he spent so much time being kenneled) %BD' Stomach issues - He has a chicken allergy. He does well with lamb and rice Wet food gives him loose bowels. - Motion sickness (cars) Dramamine - 50mg 1 hr. prior to travel works best Jasper means the world to me. He's an easy dog to love, and he deserves the very best. We are doing everything we can to find him the perfect home. If you have room in your heart and home for this amazing four-legged friend, please consider opening your doors to Jasper. Your kindness can make all the difference in his life and yours. Thank you, Seth Jasper is being fostered at my parent's place in the East Mtns. He has made so much progress, by being outside with my mom and Sir Charles (her old dog) looking after him. He is learning boundaries (humans and dogs), not to take food off the counters, given his height. For being so long, (around 54 inches - head to tail tip) and 33 inches tall. He doesn't take up much space on the bed. The Vet. said he's in great shape even though he looks thin. He was wonderful at his visit, very trusting she said. * Jasper has not really been around kids or cats, so it's hard to tell how he would react.
