About Ruthie

This is Ruth. Ruth is smart as a whip and very much wants to be a good girl. But Ruth had a traumatic puppyhood on the streets that has led to some behaviors that are incompatible with her current city life. Ruth LIKES other dogs, but often feels they need to be disciplined. Strongly. By her. She'd do best in a home without other dogs, or in a home with a decided pack order. She's also not to be trusted with cats. Or squirrels. Or really any other mammal. In fact, she'd be amazing at keeping your property squirrel/possum/raccoon/mice/rat free!! She is strangely indifferent to chickens, birds, etc. She loves her people. Loves loves them. She's loyal to the end. A ride or die. When she's home and her people are home, she curls up happily and sleeps. She couldn't be better. But when they're not home, she gets stressed and can be destructive. A Ft. Knox style crate solves this - she IS an escape artist and a genius - but she hates it. Ruth's ideal home is one with land where she can run, no other pets (or a pack where she knows her place), and people to snuggle at night. She's an amazing protector and a total lover and possibly a rocket scientist. Urban crate living is stifling her soul.
