He gets along well with feline friends, so if you have a cat at home, they can be the best of buddies. While Comet likes other dogs, he might also display resource guarding when it comes to food or toys, especially if there's another dog in the home. Training and guidance can help mitigate this behavior, ensuring harmony among all your furry family members. It's important to note that Comet may have some reservations around men. While he may warm up to them over time, he might do better in a home with just women. If you have male visitors, he may need to be crated or placed in a separate room due to his guarding tendencies. Comet is about 2 years old and 62 pounds. Update: Comet had tested lightly positive for Lyme's disease. He has since completed a short course of antibiotic and is feeling great. Comet is ready to go home with you! We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
