About Peter

Peter was rescued from a kill shelter on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He was very fearful in the shelter and could not be handled He never gave us a problem. We took Peter into our home to foster. He is a sweet senior dog that bonded to us quickly. He is very insecure and needs to see or know where we are at all times. Peter is housebroken but will have an accident if he is not let out in time. Luckily our back yard is easily accessible to him and he will let us know when he needs to relieve himself, which is several times a day. Peter does not do well with steps, his body and back legs are stiff. He cannot lift his back legs. Peter is frightened of large dogs, but is fine with dogs his size. He is not good with cats or small animals that he can chase and bark at. Peter is not in any danger and can stay with us, unless there is someone that is a good fit for him and he is comfortable in a new home. Adoption fee to be discussed.
