About Diego

Diego is an Australian cattle dog/blue heeler. He is a high energy guy who loves long walks, hikes and chasing his ball. He is so smart, very motivated and likes to please. He's the most loyal dog I've ever had and he barely leaves my side. I love him so much. We rescued Diego about 6 months ago. Prior to that he was in Mexico and we don't know what his situation was there. He is great with our two daughters (5,7) and he is the perfect dog when it's just the four of us at home. Unfortunately, he is not good with other kids. He gets very anxious around other kids and tends to lunge and snap at them. He's also very protective when people come to our home. This has proven to be very difficult for our kids to have playdates or for us to ever have people over. He has nipped at a few kids; there have been no serious injuries, but we are worried that something worse could happen and feel like maybe a home without kids would be better for him.
