About Frank

This is Frank, aka Bubby. He is such a sweet dog and is looking for the right person to be his person. The last year for him has been tough since his main owner did not keep him after a divorce and I have been taking care of him. Unfortunately I am unable to keep him at my apartment, and he currently spends half his time at a boarding facility where he can have a lot of outside access. It's not ideal, but it's what I'm able to give him currently. He has lived with three other dogs who were much smaller than him, but he can become irritated when he has not had enough outside time and exercise. He is looking for a home where he will be the only dog. He chases cats, so he should also not be in a situation where he will be living with them. He can be friendly towards some dogs, but he's best at home when he can be protecting his family. He has not been around children a lot, and has not bitten people. He has been aggressive with my smaller dog when he's irritated and feeling confined. Frank has a very mellow disposition for a blue heeler and does not nip or herd me. He stays by me when hiking, and is leash trained but protective. He loves being outside and is very content to sit on the porch and look at the sky. He has a very sweet disposition and wakes up happy each morning. He does not like to go to the vet. He is house trained and is not destructive indoors or outdoors. I will make sure his shots are current.
