Oh hi there%BD'%BD| So, I am a really good puppy with a big question%BD'%BD|.Can someone please tell me why don't I have a home of my own? I'm here to tell you that I'm a pretty darn good girl. I've got some typical puppy energy because I'm not quite six months old yet but so much love in my heart. I really can't understand how someone could dump me and my five siblings in a ditch when we were just tiny. Fortunately for us, kind rescuers found us, and I now get to call myself a Smidget which is pretty cool. The rescue people take good care of me, but I really dream of a special home and a family to love me. This week a fun family took me for a 'Weekend of Adventure' on their farm so I could get out, stretch both my legs and my puppy brain, and do some serious sightseeing around town! My official name is Ting Ting but this family calls me 'Girlfriend' or 'Pumpkin'%BD'%BD|it's a little confusing but I really am the best girlfriend type of doggo so I'll roll with whatever name I'm given%BD'%BD|I seem to know when they are talking to me! And honestly, not gonna lie, this home life is where it's at!! I've got this big floofy friend here that I just love to play with. She is big and silly and takes my puppy play style in stride. This home also has two old little dogs%BD'%BD|I try to play with them, but they get after me a little. It hurts my feelings but I back right down because I am good doggie and I respect my elders. In this house I also found these funny things called cats. They smell funny and make weird hissing noised when you sniff them but seem to be OK roommates. The other day I saw one run and thought it might be fun to chase but the humans told me no so I guess I'll go along with that plan as long as I get a few reminders and proper introductions. The other day we went to a big park with lots of kids running Cross Country. There was yelling and cheering and noisemakers, but I didn't really care..it was SOOOO fun to meet all those kids!!! I didn't even jump about the starting gun or get worried about the thunder that night%BD'%BD|my floofy friend here told me it was OK, and she seems to know the ropes, so I just enjoyed my day! I guess I was such a good girl sleeping overnight in my crate and trying to be really good about potty training that this nice family said I could stay with them a little bit longer while I look for my forever home. There are two younger people here who are tons of fun. I just adore them. I'm told they are called teenagers%BD'%BD|they are a bit stinkier and noisier than the regular humans%BD'%BD| but I love them the very most. I always try to use my best puppy manners and not jump on people%BD'%BD|the family says I'm really good about that for my age, but I might be a little much for very young kids or need good supervision until I get the hang of things. I'm not super mouthy towards people and have been a good girl chewing on all the fun dog toys here. I take treats so gently you almost can't feel it happen. On this farm I've met horses, goats, and even a chicken. Goats are weird and smelly, and horses are big and scary. I'm really curious about the chicken and not sure if I can be convinced that they aren't fun to chase. I love going for walks and I'm learning my leash skills really quickly. I'd love an active home to take me on walks, jogging, or weekend hikes. A doggie friend to play with and a fenced yard to run around would be a dream but I'm sure I'd make a great solo dog for the right home as well. So here I am, cute as can be%BD'%BD|and without my own family. Right now, I weight about 30 pounds and I'd guess I'll be around 40 when fully grown. No one really knows what breed I am, but I know I'm cute so there's that! I'm just a really good, sweet girl. I'm not too big, not too little, not too furry, not too crazy, and not too lazy. Just an honest girl trying to find a place and some people to call her own. If you hear of anyone looking for my type of good ol' dawg, please send them my way! And, of course, I think I am the cutest doggie ever, but my sweet siblings are all at Smidget Rescue and also need homes of their own too so spread the word!
