Hi! My name is Maddie and I arrived in Delaware as a rescue from the floods in Florida. I'm a Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) and I must have been separated from my Mommy and family because I was only 2 months old when my new Moms adopted me from the ASPCA. I love them so very much and my new big doggie brother and 2 little kitty siblings. We all get along great. I'm learning to potty outside and also started on my sit, stay, come commands but that gets boring really fast 'cause I get tired really quickly! As a matter of fact, I'm getting pretty bored overall because our house is small and there is no fenced in yard to play in. We go on lots of walks and meet new people but that's not enough for my DNA! I wish my Moms would get me a farm to run and play in. I'll really miss them alot, but I think they understand that more room and activity is what I need most. Do you think we'd be a good fit? Maddie is pure joy and we wish we could make it work for her but with our limited space, in the long run we know she will not be a happy pup. This is a hard decision but we only want the best for her. She is very smart and is learning quickly how to ask to go outside for potty breaks. There are a few accidents, of course, but show her the ropes in your house and she should pick it up very quickly (especially if she has the room to expend all the energy that her breed requires). Maddie is crate trained and will sleep through the night with no accidents. Her DOB is estimated to be 7/2/2023 so she has lots of learning and growing to do. Maddie is spayed, microchipped, and has all of her age appropriate shots. We will donate $100 of her adoption fee to RescueMe.org. She will come with her crate.
