Hazel loved her family and would always make time for them. In fact, she loved to cuddle and comfort them, which is some of her former family's favorite things about her! Whenever she sits she loves to give her owners her paw to receive massages. Hazel is friendly with dogs she knows, kids, and even cats. She's described as social, affectionate, active, vocal, independent, and even lazy. Who doesn't love a couch potato to binge watch your favorite shows? Hazel LOVES bath time and allows her family to brush her. She loves car rides, going outside, and any toy that squeaks. At her short stay at the ACC, Hazel has been fearful, but around familiar handlers, she has been loose, wiggly and sought attention. With unfamiliar dogs off leash she actively avoids and hard barks / growls. How is this dog around cats?: Around cats she is described to be friendly and outgoing as well as playful. When hazel is disturbed during her sleep she isn't bothered. When she is startled she is fearful. if she gets pulled off the furniture, gets her feet/ paws touched and gets her collar grabbed she isn't bothered. For a New Family to Know: According to her previous owners Hazel is described to be social/affectionate dog who is very active and playful. she is vocal and independent who at times can be a lazy/ couch potato. She tends to spend most of her time where the people are as well as the bedroom and the living room area. If New owners take Hazel to the groomers a few things to know would be that she loves bath time/ water and allows her owners/ family to brush her. Previous owners state that she does very little to no pulling on the leash and goes on walks for at least 1 hour. She does not have a set schedule for walks. Hazel has never been crated and loves going on car rides. Owners describe her to be a hyper dog who knows cues such as sit , paw, lay and stay. Some of her previous owners favorite things about her would be how she loves to cuddle and comfort you. Whenever she sits she loves to give her owners her paw to receive massages.
