My vaccinations are up to date. My worming is up to date. I have been microchipped *A Little Bit About Me* What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. Upon intake, Hooch was friendly and allowed staff to pet him. He approached the counselor and placed his head on her lap. Staff was bale to scan him for MC and apply the paper collar. His dog food was untouched. He ate chicken. He gets into the kennel on his own when you tell him 'inside'. He was playing with a squeaky toy while in the waiting area. Hooch is in need of emergency placement due to behavior concerns. Hooch was observed to hard bark, snarl, lunge and bounce off the walls of his kennel whenever dogs walk past. Outside, Hooch has shown social behavior with staff and takes treats with a soft mouth. Medically, Hooch is apparently healthy. Summary (2):: 9/25/23: Hooch was observed jumping high in his kennel. He began to hard bark and growl when the handler was near and did not stop until she left. 09/23/23 When the handler approaches the kennel, Hooch is jumping onto his kennel door, hard barking and snarling. Once the handler unlocks the kennel door, Hooch sits down with a wagging tail, panting excessively. The handler leashes Hooch with ease and proceeds outside for a walk. Hooch displays a loose body, wagging tail, while walking moderately beside the handler. Hooch takes treats gently when administered, following the sit command and allowing touch. Hooch is returned to the facility where he enters the building and his kennel with no issue. 09/09/23 When the handler approaches the kennel, Hooch is lying down flat and neutrally. As Hooch turns his head and sees the handler, he immediately jumps up, lunging for the kennel door, hard barking and snarling. The handler tosses Hooch some treats and this distracts him. As the handler unlocks the kennel door, Hooch slowly sits with a wagging tail. The handler leashes Hooch with no issue, proceeding outside for a walk. Hooch displays a stiff body, pulling hard on the leash. Hooch doesn't engage with the handler, let alone really looks at the handler. Hooch continues to pull through out the walk. They return back to the facility where he enters the building and his kennel room quickly, jumping inside of his kennel. Summary (3):: 09/08/23 As the handler puts another dog away, Hooch is standing on his kennel door hard barking at the handler. Hooch is also snarling. Then handler turns away then turns back to look at Hooch and Hooch lunges at the kennel door, jumping, snarling and hard barking. 08/26/23 When the handler approaches the kennel, Hooch is laying down. The handler unlocks the kennel and Hooch rises, Hooch is leashed and taken for a walk. Hooch doesn't take any treats when administered or off of the floor when tossed. Hooch stiffens when touched, while lip licking. Hooch maintains a still, neutral body while walking. They return back to the facility where Hooch enters the building and her kennel with no issue. 8/14: Hooch is asleep when a handler approaches his kennel. The handler turns to walk away to not disturb him but he wakes when he hears the other dogs barking. The handler is able to leash him without issue and brings him to the assessment room. Once in the room, Hooch explores as the handler prepares a collar for him. He jumps on a second handler that is seated, but once the second handler makes contact with his body, he tenses. The first handler sees this and attempts to lure him to the floor with treats. Hooch sniffs the treats before walking away. The handler then collars him and he continues to wander t
