About Annie

Adoption Fee: $400
Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hi, I'm Annie! I am 8 months old, super cute, friendly, and lovable husky. I had a rough start to life, but you'd never know it! I am the most happy-go-lucky pup, I'll almost immediately roll over onto my back for pets if you're offering them. I love other dogs, especially playtime. I'll play with any dog; I even try to play with one of my senior foster brothers. He's not much into playtime though, and even though I'm a puppy, I can tell he'd rather not play and leave him alone very quickly, respecting his boundaries. I adore playing outside in the backyard with my sister and foster brother, so I'd love a home with room to run. I could run and wrestle all day if that was an option. I'm the fastest out of everyone, so I'm always chasing the others. I do love to dig, which my foster mom is working on with me. I also love to chase lizards! I never catch them, but they're as fun to chase as the other dogs. I may be excited about playtime, but if at any time another dog starts to show dominant behavior, I roll onto my back to show that I'm a submissive girl who wouldn't hurt a fly. I do love to chase squirrels when given the opportunity, and I've seen a couple of cats outside on my walks and have shown a little too much interest in them. Because of this, I should probably go to a home without cats. I've met some small dogs though and have made friends with them! Even though I am the sweetest girl and love every human I've ever met, I might be a bit much for small humans with my high energy and because I'm still working on not jumping on humans when I get excited. I am still working on leash training; I was never introduced to one until very recently and there is so much to see outside! My forever family will need to continue to work with me on this, but I'm learning quickly that it's inappropriate to pull. I am also still working on crate training and potty training. I really hated my crate when I first met it, but I am doing so much better and even get excited to go to it at bedtime! I do enjoy getting a little energy out before I go in my crate if you're leaving the house during the day, but once I'm there, I'll chill out and probably take a nap. I've also learned to sleep through the night in my crate with no accidents. I am still working on my potty training, but I have made so much progress! I have the occasional accident, but if I'm taken out at regular intervals, I don't have a problem. I do get a bit distracted when I'm outside, so giving me a little extra time to remember that I'm outside to take care of some business is helpful. I'm even learning from my foster brothers to go to the door when I'm ready to go out. Did I tell you I'm affectionate? When it's time to settle down for a nap or rest, I love curling up in between my foster parents on the couch. Sometimes I'll rest my head in your lap, or maybe try to burrow behind where you're sitting. I'm a goofball through and through but I love being close to my humans. Like most huskies, I love to tell you what's on my mind! Am I ready to wake up? Would I like to go outside? Do I want to play? Would you mind giving me some love and pets? I'll ask for it with the cutest little howl. I might also hold a conversation with you if you're interested in chatting with me. I am just starting out in life, and I would make a wonderful addition to any pack, would you like to be my forever family? I am ready to go and be someone's sweet girl! Is it you?
