About Peggy

Peggy is a sweet and smart 2 year old Shih Tzu mix. If introduced thoughtfully and correctly, she is a very nice companion to everyone, including kids. She was found as a stray and brought to the Long Beach shelter. She has been vetted, spayed, brought up to date on vaccines and is overall very healthy! Peggy is about 90% potty trained and does best when taken outside every 3-4 hrs. Peggy gets along with other dogs as well as cats and bunnies. She would do great as an only dog or with another playful playmate! She loves to go on long walks, play fetch and do zoomies around the yard, but is happy to snuggle and nap by your side during the rest of the day. Peggy does well on car rides as well. This girl is very treat motivated which helps with training. She needs work on her puppy nipping/play biting as well as resource guarding, so she should have a savvy pack leader to redirect her and guide her out of those states. We would love to find Peggy a loving and committed home.
