Roxie is very low energy, quiet and keeps to herself, food is the thing that gets her going, and belly rubs, a good way to describe her is a loner - she is very chill and happy when she's by herself, she's not the cuddling type and can get moody, the best way to explain her is, she is a cat in a dog's body, her past is unknown to us, but, full disclosure, she has a bite history - her aggression has come primarily from a lack of trust and misunderstanding on how to address her when she gets tense or unsure, but she has been with a professional trainer for several months and the trainer has gotten Roxie to a much better place behaviorally and Roxie has been able to overcome a lot of her fears, one of the biggest is thunderstorms, she used to get extremely anxious and her anxiety turned into aggression, but with some work, she has improved and has become much more manageable, but she still needs attention when there are thunderstorms, she is great on walks, she's house broken, and again, chill, mellow and quiet - as for other dogs, she's not exactly happy go lucky around them, in fact, just like a cat, she prefers to be left alone and will 'slap' at dogs that get into her personal space (just like a cat!) - she will thrive in a home with low stimuli - but she does need a good amount of exercise and activity to keep her healthy and moving and keep her mind stimulated - if you think you can provide the right environment for Roxie, please submit an application, she does not attend adoption events.
