About Bella #hanging-chops

Arf! Arf, everyone! I'm Bella, a sweet, calm, mellow, easygoing, people-pleasing, and affectionate 40-pound English Bulldog/ Boston Terrier mix gal who was born about September 2020. My weight, undershot jaw with hanging chops, and thick-set stature indicate my English Bulldog heritage, but Bullies don't come with my crisp black and white tuxedo attire. So I must have some Boston Terrier mixed in there somewhere, although Bostons top off at 25 pounds. All I want is to be close to my hoomans. My weight doesn't preclude my wanting to curl up to snuggle in Foster Mom's lap! And I'm not lazy -- I enjoy brisk walks and need regular, moderate exercise to stay trim. Despite Bullies' jowly, formidable appearance, we are docile, loyal companions who are kind but courageous, friendly but dignified. We are well-muscled bruisers whose 'sourmug' face is the universal symbol of courage and tenacity. This is especially true in England, where Bullies are icons and where one of our ancestors was a look-alike companion of double-chinned Sir Winston. In the past, I was used for breeding, so I don't get along with other female dogs. To make matters worse, my selfish, heartless owners dumped me on the streets to fend for myself. Consequently, I suffer from separation anxiety because of their abandoning me. Thank heavens, I was rescued from being a stray, and my foster mom is reassuring me that I'm cherished and is showering me with attention as well as TLC. What a radically new life I'm enjoying now! She thinks I would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day with me because of my separation anxiety. I'm fixing my eyes forward and not backward in the past. I trust that Miss Donna will find me a wonderful new forever family this time around. Could that be with you? My heart has so much love to give, all I need is YOU! Bella is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250 for dogs 9 months and older. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
