About Izzy

Meet Izzy, a red-tri mini Aussie (35-40 lbs). This girl is a genuine sweetheart, and was very much loved. Unfortunately, her previous owners suffered life-altering health conditions which forced them to make the decision to return her to ASF. This sweet little girl is fun-loving, smart, and playful. She loves snuggling, laps, eating, playing chase, and fetch. She is quick to attach to her human (a true Velcro girl), but loves everyone. She does ask that men allow her to choose to greet them first. She will accept you much faster this way. She is housebroken, crate trained (although she prefers your bed), knows basic obedience, and is eager to please her humans (except when it comes to bath-time; the perfect time to play hide-n-seek, lol). She does well with larger dogs in the home or would be fine as the center of your world. She has a strong herding instinct and will chase cats. She has never been tested with children so an adult home would be best. She can be bossy and protective with submissive dogs and/or dogs closer to her size. A large dog or only dog household would be ideal. With that said, she is fast learning that this is not an acceptable behavior and has improved considerably in the short time she has been with us. She will snuggle up to any of the dogs here when it's quiet time. So many life changes puts a girl on edge you know? This girl is so smart and eager to please!
