He was found tied up to a pole, on a hot day in July, where he was understandably scared. The person who found him built him a little cardboard house, as well as provided him with food and water. Then Tempo was taken away by the ACO staff, where he sits in a cage, hoping he can find love and happiness. Although he was slow to warm up to staff, he does like treats and a soft, slow approach. Tempo liked playing fetch and with toys with a volunteer and he especially loved watermelon. What he'd love even more, though, is a loving home and family. Please be the one to give Tempo a new rhyme and rhythm to his life! Save him and love him furever! A volunteer writes: Tempo was found tied up, scared, overnight. When someone found him, they built him a little cardboard house, and gave him food and water until the ACC rescue team was able to pick him up. Understandably, Tempo was nervous after all he had bean through. He has been slow to warm up to staff members, but does appreciate treats and a slow, soft approach. He is a little guy, with little legs. He is definitely interested in toys, and after a few practice rounds he becomes a fetch master. He scoots his little body into our laps once he is comfortable, chomps on some watermelon. We hope to help Tempo upgrade from his cardboard box shelter into a real home! My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would do best in a home with only adult humans. Upon arrival ARS was able to put leash over the dogs neck and walked dog to van with no issues. Dog is slightly fearful but overall ok. No other information available as the dog was left tied to a pole. Tempo is in need of emergency placement due to behavioral concerns. Tempo was initially fearful and avoidant of touch and most forms of interaction other than being offered treats. He has warmed up to select handlers and caretakers but remains uncomfortable when presented with novel situations. Due to the length of stay, Tempo has also begun to leash bite. Medically, Tempo recently recovered from CIRDC. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!
