About Anya

Meet Anya (fka Niya) Anya has been in her foster home in Woodinville for almost 3 months - where is her family?! This little girlie is so great and we don't understand why she hasn't been adopted yet. A mystery - but someone is going to get lucky - she's spayed, up to date on her vaccines and ready for adoption now! Anya is just a year old (born April 2022), and is an adorable girl with lots of energy. She is on the petite side at 75 pounds - a happy, friendly, busy girl. She plays with the male Rottweiler in her foster home very nicely, although can get feisty with him, and loves her toys. Anya's original owner, found via her rabies certificate information, told us he accidentally stepped on her one night and injured left rear leg. Anya gets around okay and is active, and also not in any noticeable pain, but we took her to an orthopedic vet for a consultation and he said she's good to go! This girl is a happy, sweet, super friendly girl - wait, did I already say that? But she really is! Affectionate and easy, but also all 1-year-old-puppy energy. She's house trained and crate trained. She seems to know some basic obedience, and walks nicely on leash. She loves chasing the ball, and loves to play tug with the rope toy, and loves water - her original owner says she likes to swim. Anya is a hidden gem - she'd be great in a home with another dog, and older kids would be fine. She's not been around cats that we know of, but judging from her activity and interest in her surroundings (prey drive), we believe no cats would be best for this girlie.
