About Puggsly

I rescued Puggsly from my mother around 10 years ago. He is scared of people other than myself and barks and growls but if approached by strangers runs away. I have to get rid of Puggsly because my landlord doesn't like his barking and he got loose and barked at landlords daughter. I don't want him put down. I believe with patience he can become comfortable with other people. I am not a social person and avoid human interaction and believe this is part of the reason he is afraid of people. He can sense my fear and he hasn't been around many people because I don't go around people myself. He tends to be aggressive with other dogs and tries to establish dominance so a single dog home is best. Have never owned a cat so unsure how he is with one. I am charging an adoption fee because I don't want someone who isn't going to take care of him to take him which I believe would be more likely if I posted him for free. He is 12 years old, has high energy. Can be excitable when his hooman comes home from work and may jump up on leg. I'm 6'7' and I have had him do this as it is easier for me to pet him than if I had to bend over to do so but he is a smart dog and easy to train him not to do this.
