**Our longest term residents need a home for their golden years** Doug and Sue were rescued into our center after being surrendered at a kill shelter where they were due to be euthanized. There is not much known regarding their reason for their initial surrender, but both dogs are anxious, especially when meeting new people. Though, once you've established a level of trust with them, they are both very sweet and loving. They are a mother and son duo, so they are especially bonded and do find a lot of comfort in sharing a bed, and watching out for one another while playing. They will require a patient home, as things as simple as putting on a collar or harness can be overwhelming for them. A yard would be ideal too. They do seem to prefer the company of other dogs over people, but a home where they could share with another dog their size might be just what they need to help build their confidence.
