About Gilbert

LOCATION: Bullard, Texas DOB: 09/08/2021 (Estimate) Gilbert - a dog with a name you will remember and a personality you will not forget. Gilbert was found as a stray wandering the street. He was taken to a high euthanasia shelter. Why he ended up in this situation we'll never know. What we DO know is that this guy is GREAT! Even the office staff at his vet's office said he is an ABSOLUTE DOLL! He is beautiful!!! So very black! Beautiful head and markings! But his beauty goes beyond his looks. He has a gigantic heart too! He's a Velcro dog and he does great with the resident foster dogs AND all humans! No aggression whatsoever. He has not met a cat yet but there is no reason to think he would not be friendly towards one. He is absolutely the sweetest boy. Gilbert still has that puppy vibe and he is learning how to have big dog manners. He is very good on a leash-very calm. He sleeps all night in his crate and he goes to his kennel on command. He has never left a puddle on the floor and he is working on not needing to leave his mark on anything but the grass. Food is the key to this guy's heart. But it also gets him in a little trouble when he goes counter surfing for more. This stunning gentleman will absolutely melt your heart. Everyone he meets falls in love with him.
