About Giallo

Meet Giallo (meaning yellow dog). Giallo is a yellow Lab mix, approx., 75 pounds, a very happy, funny, and full of-energy boy. You cannot help but laugh when he smiles at you. It's almost as if he is laughing with you. He is very sweet and loving towards all dogs and people. Giallo was passed up by many rescue groups in a kill shelter because of his energy. We took a chance and at first a challenge, but since we have worked with him and gained his confidence he is doing great! Giallo will need some additional training since it's apparently whoever had him prior to his arrival at a local shelter was never taught much. Giallo has been learning since arrived in our care and doing much better now. He is crate trained although he definitely prefers not to be in one. He is potted trained and has had no more recent accidents. He still has lots of energy, but has learned to calm, so would be well suited for a household that is active, and that can throw a ball for him, run, hike and enjoy outdoor activity, but also cuddle with him. Giallo has learned how to calm himself and with daily energy burning activities he will lay down and enjoy a good chew on a bully stick. He is very affectionate, and has masterfully learned our routine. He has no aggressive behaviors whatsoever and deserves a fabulous family that can give him the time and attention he nso deserves and longs for. His ideal home will have a large fenced-in yard to romp in, another dog to play with, and ideally a stay-at-home or work-from-home individual if at all possible or a few days a week at doggie daycare to break up a week otherwise.
