Charlie's original owner died, we took her in, but we could not keep up. My daughter then took her. However when My daughter graduated from college she found out she just could not spend time with her since she works all the time. Since my children are mostly grown and Charlie is hyper we just are not what Charlie needs. While she is able to entertain herself it is sad seeing her not getting the attention she should. We also do not have the space for a big dog in our apartment. She is very loving. While she does great with other small dogs, not as great with the one time she saw a big dog, but I do not know how she would have done if she would have gotten to interact, she gets jealous with my smaller dog because she wants to sit on your lap. She does great with children. She loves playing with ropes and toys, but she will also just sit on your lap like a lap dog even though she is a large dog. She is sensitive and get her feelings hurt when you yell at her. She has always acted like a starving dog we have had to start using a feeder that slows her feeding to prevent her from throwing her food from eating too fast. But she is wonderful and loving. She just needs a family with time to spend with her, and a yard or can take her out on long walks.
