About Nora

Adoption Fee: $450
Australian Cattle Dog / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This pretty girl is Nora! She was saved from a high kill shelter in New Mexico, where she had previously been picked up as a stray. We don't know what type of dog she is'|heeler/lab/shepherd mix? New Mexican street dog?! Who knows! What we do know is she is around a year old and a complete sweetheart. She is 38 pounds and not expected to get much bigger if at all, so she's a nice medium size. Other than needing to continue eating good food so her coat quality keeps improving, she has no known health issues and has been thriving with the routine and comfort of a foster home. Nora is working on her crate training and house training and is picking up on that quickly. She's smart, gentle, is very loving and eager to please her humans (including kids), and gets attached quickly. She'll follow you anywhere and be the very best and cutest shadow you never realized you needed before! Her adopters should be prepared for Nora's gentle nose print kisses to end up on the back of their legs (don't worry'|she doesn't mean to be creepy; she's just loving you and being close to you)! She loves snuggles, going for walks, car rides, exploring the large yard in her foster home, and playing with other dogs. Nora is a fairly quiet, peaceful dog unless she feels completely alone or there is a big routine change (like going to the vet!), which is when she can be quite vocal, restless, and anxious. Because of this, we do request a home with another established dog present and/or humans that are home a lot, and likely no apartments. We do expect her comfort with alone time and change to improve over time and as she learns she can count on her forever family. Nora is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/nora/.
