Available NY,NJ,CT,PA,DC,MD,DE,NH,RI,LI,MA,Vt,ME Peewee was dumped after 2 days. Peewee, who is a family dog, seeks a new family, and soon! Peewee is small in name only. This big guy is only 3 years old, and is a proven family pet. But when his family moved on and said no one was going to be able to care for him, off to the ACC he was dumped. He actually has some pretty decent notes. In fact, his family said, before they walked out of Peewee's life forever, that they love how playful he is with the kids and his playful energy. He's never bitten anyone, and allows them to bathe him. Peewee is also good with familiar dogs. When he sees a dog he does not know, he will bark as he gets to know them, and then becomes playful and friendly. His family said he is social, active, affectionate, playful, vocal, and a couch potato, and he loves being with his people. Peewee loves car rides and knows basic commands. He also has never bitten anyone. But after just 2 days, the ACC is looking forward to killing him mercilessly. He is friendly and social towards the staff members who have walked him. But in a short time, Peewee also has not gotten used to this place. So the ACC will use that to his advantage. They're giving Peewee no time to find a home, so he desperately needs help! Please help this family dog find a new family. The ACC will not give him any extra time! He is handled by select staff and carefully managed in the shelter setting. Medically, he is apparently healthy. Peewee arrived from his previous home. He is described as social and affectionate with his familiar humans. He may be selective with strangers and lunge or bark to communicate need for distance. Peewee may best succeed as the only resident animal as he is observed to lunge or bark, or even growl at small animals, cats, or dogs. He has appeared soft and friendly toward handlers who have walked him, but very quickly becomes focused on or reactive toward stimuli such as other dogs or strangers. Peewee may succeed best outside of a shelter setting. He should be the only resident dog in an experienced, adult only home and placed through an ACC rescue partner.
