About Bubby

In need to rehome/ surrender this old man immediately. This is the LAST thing I want, but I currently have no other options. This is not easy and not a decision that has been made lightly! I've reached out to a few rescues, some couldn't help, some still haven't gotten back to me. My county shelter is full and isn't accepting owner surrenders. Unless I've missed something, the surrounding counties say you have to surrender in the county you are in. I'm still trying to contact more rescues and shelters. We are in Gwinnett county, Lilburn. I am willing to transport him a couple of hours away if it will save him! He's running out of time! We had a home set up, but it fell through. I have less than a week to rehome or I will have no choice but to euthanize!����It is nothing he did, we have had a sudden set of terrible circumstances and I have no other choice at this time. I would appreciate any help, if anyone from a rescue could help I would be forever grateful! This is Bubby he is estimated to be at least 11 years old. I have had him for 4 years. He is neutered, house broken, crate trained, walks well on his leash with harness, and knows basic commands. He is developing cataracts and I'm pretty sure he is beginning to have vision issues. I don't know how he does with cats or other small animals, he hasn't been exposed while with us. He did not get along with a dog of his size, so we haven't had him around any more. He is a sweet old man that can get a bit grumpy, but overall just wants a nice place to nap and at least one person to give him love and snacks! He does seem irritated by small kids but does fine with monitoring. He is even super gentle with my 2yr old granddaughter, and will let her give him treats, with supervision. Even though he is gentle with monitoring and supervision, I would not recommend a home with childern. He does seem stressed and uncomfortable if around kids for long. Please help me save him!
