About Alexa

Meet Alexa. This very sweet girl is looking for a new home. She is a little shy at first, but warms up very quickly. Volunteers are calling her the calmest husky they've ever seen! Alexa walks great on a leash and very chill. This beautiful gal is good with some dogs but not all so a meet and greet is an absolute must if there is another dog living in the same home. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Alexa loves her toys alot but is protective over them so a family without young children is preferred. Alexa is ready for a family to call her own. Alexa is about 3 years old and 74 pounds. Please help Alexa find the loving home she deserves. Update: We discovered that Alexa had a congenital defect in one of her ears which caused her to have painful ear infections. She recently had ear surgery to remove her inner ear canal to relieve this condition and has recovered well from the surgery. She can no longer hear out of that ear but she is now pain free and has become such a happy, playful girl. Alexa can hear perfectly fine from her other ear. Alexa had also tested Lyme+ and has completed her treatment. She is feeling great and ready to go home! We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
