About Max

Max is 100% Belgian Malinois 1.5 years old. We took him for a friend who's landlord would not let him have a dog. We've had him about 2 months and he just cannot settle down. We have a very small older dog he's to hyper to have around her. He likes to jump up and he can jump a six foot privacy fence. Max is good with kids but teenagers and adults he does jump up when he gets excited. He doesn't realize his size. He would be best with someone who works from home and has a large yard. He doesn't like to be confined when he is in a room with the door shut by himself or in his cage when he comes out he is super excited and hyper. We think he has anxiety when stuck in a room by himself. He is fully housebroken and will take your food if you turn your head. He is not fixed which may be why he is so hyper. He was a security dog but failed the test because he wouldn't bite the trainers arm during the exercise so they said he couldn't become an official security dog. before his owner moved and wasn't allowed to keep him anymore. We have tried our best to make him a good fit and unfortunately we cannot. My mom is older and he has jumped on her a couple times and our small dog is getting stressed because he is so hyper. He knows many commands and is very smart. He is teachable.
