About Isla

Isla is an intelligent, playful, affectionate dog full of personality who needs a calm home with no cats or young children. She is being surrendered because of her owner's chronic health conditions. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to actively play with her dog friends. Isla is well-behaved at home, is crate trained, and knows basic commands. Ongoing, consistent, positive reinforcement training is essential as she is reactive to new sights and sounds, and has an innate tendency to chase and bark. She does best with daily routines and familiar surroundings. Isla is an absolutely delightful, rewarding companion who will thrive when given the right home, training, level of activity, and companionship. Isla needs to make a gradual transition to her new home so that it's a familiar place when she arrives to live there. For this reason ONLY homes in the PORTLAND METRO AREA will be considered.
