Dog's Name: Buck Sex of Dog: Male Breed of Dog: American Bulldog Dog's Age: 7 I have owned this dog since: Sept 2016 (since he was a puppy, no other owners) Crate Trained? No House Trained? Yes Walks Well on Leash? No (too lazy!) Current Weight of Dog (in lbs): 135 Reproductive State: Neutered Current Brand of Food: Member's Mark Reason for Surrender FULL DISCLOSURE: We discovered Buck is not good with small children when our one year old became mobile about 8 months ago. Buck showed signs of aggression (unprovoked). He has never been around children until we had kids. We have since had another baby who is six days old. Buck and the babies stay completely separated in different rooms to avoid any accidents. This has been the case for the last 8 months and will need to continue until I find him a loving home. This is not the life I want for this dog. Buck is a nervous dog around children, other dogs and new people. He has never bitten anyone to harm, he has only nipped (open mouth). But with his size (135 lbs), this is not a risk I am willing to take with my babies. Vet Address Mike's Mobile Vet 132 Meadowview Ct Fairfield, OH 45014 Health Concerns None Behavior Concerns Not good with children or other dogs. Nervous around new people but warms up easily, especially with food. Additional Information: Buck is 7 years old, born on 4th of July! He grew up with a shih tzu who he is perfectly fine with, but is not good with other dogs he isn't familiar with. He has previously lived with a cat with no issues. He is not good with children, especially small children. We have recently discovered this when our one year old began crawling and we now have another baby. He is a big scaredy cat, and thinks he's a lap dog. He sleeps most of the day and is a big lazy boy. He is so sweet and a great protector. He would do amazing in a home with no animals or children with lots of love.
