Junior was surrendered to the shelter because when his brother died his owner thought he became sad all the time. The shelter is hardly the most fun place for a dog, and he had some trouble wanting to eat for us at first due to stress, but he's since settled in nicely and perks up every time people interact with him. His owner reports that he's been very good and patient with children in the past, as well as cats and other dogs. He's a super sweet and friendly boy. He walks well on a leash without pulling, and he's pretty calm and gentle around people. He has a low to average energy level: he'll run around a little bit, but what he really likes most is to sit by your side and be pet. He loves treats and takes them gently from your hand. This smarty pants already knows how to sit and lay on command. Junior is a 4YO Lab who was surrendered to the shelter by his owner on 8/31/23 because 'his brother died, he became sad all the time.' He weighs 56 lbs.
