About Max

From the Facebook Post: ' It's with so much thought and a heavy heart that I'm even posting this, but over the last year since my PCS, it's been detrimental to the quality of life for Max. Nearly all rentals are not pet friendly, and the ones that are, are way above giving any thought to them. In the next month, I'm going to see a pretty significant life shift, and already am barely even able to keep my own head above water because of many things. So I am looking to rehome Max or even find a long-term foster till I PCS or separate. I will not rehome him to anyone in Clovis and ideally, he needs a big fenced-in backyard that is secure and he won't try to escape from. Right now, the only thing I'm able to do keep him happy is taking him to camp for about a week at a time every month. It's getting expensive and not sustainable to send him to camp though, and sometimes I feel like he would just live there if he could. He loves the mountains and hiking and trips to the dog park. He is so sweet and loving. He is a Siberian Husky so someone understanding the undertaking of owning him, and knowing his challenges are the only people I will accept inquiries from. Max does have some bathroom issues if he's not getting enough input and gets stress diarrhea when certain things are not how he is used to. Max is great with most other dogs but is terrified of pit bulls. He's great with children but does try to jump on them so older kids only. He's a no-go on cats. He sees the vet regularly and is completely up to date on his shots. This is very difficult for me, because we've bonded so much over the last 5 years, but it's going to be awhile before I can give him the life he deserves, but it's unfair of me to keep him till he can live his best life again.'
