Say hello to our darling, Thelma. What a little jewel she is! Quiet and sweet, she's like the little sister of the family who is the apple of everyone's eye! She adores any bit of attention she gets and is sure to charm you with her darling ways! She has excellent indoor manners, is house trained, crate trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She also enjoys tea parties and playing dressup! She is shy by nature and is a little bit nervous in new situations. She's looking for someone who will take her under their wing and protect her like the previous little sister she is! Thelma is excellent with other dogs and good with calmer, quieter children. She has only barked a couple times in the months she has been with us! She's sure to make a great additon to some lucky family! Will it be yours? Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
