Approximate Adult Size - Small History- Opal and her 3 babies Diamond, Sapphire, and Topaz were surrendered to a local shelter when the babies were only a few days old. Opal was terrified and so worried about her babies so did the only thing she could think of to keep them safe. She showed her teeth and grabbed employees by their pant cuffs to show them she meant business for them to stay away from her babies. Well, as it goes some employees thought she should be put down and others advocated for her that she was just trying to be a good momma. Well, the ones that advocated for her also gained her trust and shared videos and photos on social media. We inquired what was happening with them and they asked if there was any way we could bring them into our program. We said yes and an amazing employee transported them out to us. Once Opal settled down she showed her true colors. She is just a youngster herself and is just so playful and loving. She even plays fetch with my granddaughters. She is an absolute gem!!! Dad might be a Dachshund as these kiddos do have longer bodies and short legs. Temperament- Super sweet and loving. Loves attention! Seems like an old soul. Sits and just stares right into your eyes willing you to pick her up and cuddle her. She is the most serious of the 3 and always looks worried. Energy Level- The most mellow of the 3 babies. She plays and wrestles but also enjoys cuddles. Dogs/Cats- She has met the other dogs and cats and is just lovely with everyone. Housetrained- She is working on it. They use puppy pads consistently Diamond is just the sweetest little gem of a baby. She loves, loves, loves to be with me all the time. She does enjoy playing and wrestling with her mom and siblings though and loves the cats. But she spends a lot of time watching me and enjoys cuddling and playing in my hair and giving little kisses. Diamond won't last long so get your application in asap. She will make a wonderful addition to any family wanting a baby to spoil. Adoption fee $300 includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations (4 for puppies), deworming, microchip, rabies, collar and leash, training information, and all the support you need.
