I adopted Charlie from the Broward humane society in 2018 and they believed he was about 2 years old but he was a stray from a hurricane so they didn't have a lot of history. I could tell he might've came from an abusive home as he was nervous and took a little to warm up to men, My husband and I adopted him when we didn't have any children. He is my shadow, follows anyone around who gives him attention and loves cuddling and thinks he is a lap dog. He loves going on walks and being the center of of attention in the home. Once my two kids arrived he became more anxious and the separation anxiety when I would take them out of the home and leave charlie was getting worse. He would do some spiteful behaviors like tear up the bed sheets but only in my daughters rooms. He is such a sweet dog that I know if he was in a home with an owner who gave him more attention and he didn't feel his love was split with children, (even though he is very good with them, they sat on his head, pulls his tail and he has never snipped at them) I just don't think he is happy in the current situation and would love to see him in a home and not end up surrendered which my husband wants to do.
