This is posted by a volunteer. Please read the entire post. Thank you. Meet Lovey You'll never guess how I got my name 'Lovey'...or maybe you will! I'll give you a hint: my personality rhymes with 'dovey.' I am Lovey and I am indeed...very lovey dovey! I'm a female who is about 4 years old and weighs 72lbs. I can be shy in new situations, and my signature move is to lean in for a hug for some reassurance. I am known to have lived with large and small dogs in my previous home. I also spent some time in a foster home with another large dog and we got along well. I have earned the following positive comments from my foster mom: *I ride nicely in the car *I really like to be with my people *I meet other dogs politely *I have learned the following: Sit, Lay Down, and to walk easy on the leash *I like to lean against you for pets and cuddles *I have met several new people politely & friendly *I am told I am housebroken. I just let you know I need out with a knock on the door *I do prefer a more active lifestyle *I am a polite eater with NO aggressive motions *I am very sweet, gentle and like lots of attention Here is some feedback from my Foster Family: *I can jump fences and need a secure yard with high fences *I have met cats politely, but prefer not to have them in my space *I tried crate training and did not like it much *Wood smoke makes me nervous *There are times when I am left alone I bark until you return I only spent a few weeks here, so this is all just what was learned while I was settling in. Some of this could change once I'm settled in more with you at your house!! I'm fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on parasite preventatives. It is $165 to bring me home! If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you! Please prepare to tell the staff about yourself and your family, the city in which you live, your family dynamic, other pets, your fenced yard- and what else will help identify your family as a good match. Do not ask via email if the animal is available. Please call the shelter for the most up-to-date information about this dog.
