About Pepper

Pepper was surrendered to BHCAS earlier this month. His previous owners claimed they found him as a stray in Haywood County and decided they were unable to continue caring for him. Now, he's all shaped up and ready to find his forever home! The number one thing you need to know about Pepper is that he loves toys! We think that whoever adopts him is going to have to maintain a second job just to keep up with Pepper's passion for toys. He loves kongs, squeaky toys, and anything that even seems like to may be a toy! The best thing about Pepper is that while he would love for you to play with him, he can also find entertainment all by himself. He is just an overall playful dog who deserves a family that is looking for a dog like him to spoil. Pepper is a very sociable guy who has never met a stranger. His primary focus in life appears to be collecting as many friends (and toys!) as dogly possible, so he needs afamily that will support this dream of his! He does get along well with other dogs and would love a playmate in his future home. We think he would do good with older kids, but may be too silly for small children. Please consider this handsome fella for your next family member! Pepper is around two years old and weighs 53 pounds. Prior to being surrendered, Pepper received a rabies vaccine, DA2PP vaccine, had a fecal done, was microchipped and tested negative for heartworm disease. He is also on a heartworm, worm and flea preventative for this month. The only vetting he will need upon adoption is being neutered!
