About Simon

Meet adoptable Simon! Simon and his friend Alvin were seized from their previous owners due to negligence. He deserves so much more than what he has known so far, and we would love to see him with a loving family after all that he's been through. Simon can be a little on the shy side at times, but really just needs a little love and gentleness shared in his direction. He has not had the best life, and coming to the shelter hasn't been the greatest thing for him. In interactions with other dogs, we've noticed he is pretty submissive. He does enjoy playing with the other shelter pups and would be best paired with a family who has dogs that share his submissive behavior. At the shelter, we've noticed that more dominant dogs like to bully Simon because he is a little bit of a pushover. Thankfully, he has good playmates now that he is comfortable with who don't pick on him! Simon is really gentle in all of his interactions towards humans, and would be a good fit for a home with children who know how to be gentle with animals. He is a very curious pup who seems to be treat motivated as well! We think he could learn tricks very easily even though he doesn't know any currently. If you are looking for a sweet dog and have a lot of patience to offer, Simon may be the dog for you! Simon is a 10 month old dog who weighs 48 pounds at this time. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease.
