About Wonder

After her owner was put in jail and the spouse failed at taking care of them, Wonder and her brother found themselves starving and clinging to life. The spouse took the puppies and left Wonder and her brother behind. Wonder's brother was a little better off as he was chained and able to move around more. Wonder, who was locked in a crate, fared worse. At first, the good news was that her bloodwork was near perfect aside from anemia which is from long term flea infestation and intestinal parasites. Thankfully, her liver and kidneys were also functioning like they should which meant she had a fighting chance at coming back from the brink of death. When her diagnosis came in, we were contacted by Animal Services to see if we could help. Wonder had been in the crate so long, unable to move or walk around, that she lost all the muscle in her legs. She was unable to stand on her own and was skin and bones. We gave her multiple (small) meals a day, about every 2 to 3 hours. Now, Wonder has improved so much! She has regained the ability to walk slowly and is doing great as her health improves. She is dog and cat friendly and so sweet! Please help us help Wonder come back from this and find a deserving family to spend the rest of her days. She deserves it.
