About Rainer

Siberian Husky
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

***URGENT Foster/Adopter Needed Immediately*** Rainier is a stunning 3 yr old boy, weighing in around 80lbs. We do not know much about his background. Our rescue saved Rainier and his brother Nieve, at the last minute from euthanisia at an overcrowded high kill shelter in TX. The brothers were both very, very ill at the time. We took them straight to an veterinary ER. Sadly though, for Nieve it was too late and was touch and go for Rainier too. However, Rainier pulled through, he is on the road to recovery and he is such an amazingly loving dog. He and his brother had been failed by humans but Rainier is a true survivor and amazingly, as with most survivors, he really just does love people. After all he has gone through, we absolutely cannot fail him. And is definitely feeling the loss of his brother. We need to find his furever home so he can begin to live life to the full. Rainier will be fully vetted before going to any adopter. NOTE: Rainier is in a boarding situation, but it still feels like a shelter to him. We need to find a foster or adopter ASAP, so he doesn't succumb to kennel stress. ********** Due to record numbers of owner surrendering pets to shelters, there aren't enough fosters, which means we have to find local boarding kennel space. And if that fails, we need to transport pets to foster homes in other states, or boarding kennels there if we run out of fosters. None of which are ideal but it is better than the alternative. Often now, the shelters are giving rescue groups a lot less than 24 hrs notice of the following day's euthanasia lists! Resulting in everyone scrambling to find fosters or even urgent fosters during that time. Shelters are overflowing in droves mainly due to owner surrenders and/or a general lack of spay/neutering in southern states. Healthy pets that owners, or their families, are surrendering to shelters, especially in southern states, are being euthanised in record numbers. Foster homes are overflowing as a result. If no fosters available, we have to look for space in local boarding kennels and when that fails, our only option is to get these precious innocent pets on transport to other states, either to fosters there, or final resort boarding kennels. And for these pups, boarding is not ideal. Our only hope is to get them into as many foster homes as we can, wherever, until we can get find their furever homes. So, if you or someone you know are interested in adopting Rainer. Please contact KENNEDY by email or text at (802)673-9026. [NOTE: Rainer is currently being boarded in the south. Transport will be scheduled for him to be brought to the Northeastern states for serious adopters only.]
