PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. Needs exercise and a fully fenced yard. 1 year old female Cairn Terrier mix, about 25 pounds. Zumi and her daughter Taos came from a shelter in New Mexico. Zumi is a sweet people-oriented girl. She is quiet and patient. While she is playful like her daughter, she is calmer. She would prefer a fenced yard, a bit of exercise and possibly a doggie friend. She is a chewer when she is bored, so crating her would be best, if she is left alone. She would do fine with older children. She is also camera shy! Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
