About Blue

My name is Blue and I am quite a loving boy. I am a Boxer mix disguised as a lazy potato that mostly likes to lounge around all day. Lower energy is my standard, but I also perk up to play with people and other dogs. I especially like balls and soft stuffed animal toys that I can squeak or honk. I do well with most dogs that will respect my space. I have been great at teaching foster puppies how to modulate their energy and space around other dogs. I might be a big boy, but I still run away from itty-bitty foster puppies who try to jump on me and peck me in the face. I like to gently place my head on my people's lap for a check-in throughout the day. Spending a lot of time on the furniture is not my thing, but I will occasionally see if I can snuggle someone for a little while. I mostly like to snag blankets off the couch and lay on the floor next to the family as they hang out. I enjoy going for leisurely walks around the neighborhood. On my walks, I have found a favorite pine tree that I stop at to rub my back on its lower limbs. Similarly, I LOVE being brushed and will lean on you while enjoying the soft-bristled massage. I may look boring, but I am actually quite endearing while also being a complete goofball! I come from a bit of an unstable past and for this reason do best with slow introductions. It only takes a few minutes before I turn into a social butterfly. I am fine with kids...even if they are being loud while I am trying to take a nap. I will do best with older kids who won't climb on me or anything like that. Located in Franklin, TN. Blue is up to date on vaccines, fixed and heartworm negative. He is also potty and crate trained.
