About Zippy

Hi there, I'm Zippy, a brindle and white pit bull mix who is looking for a forever family. I'm 1 year old, about 50 pounds, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. I'm also house, crate, and leash trained, and I know how to sit for treats. I'm a sweet, happy, and loving guy who likes everyone I meet. I'm looking for a home where I can continue to develop and live my best life. In return, you will gain a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion. I enjoy toys and play time, but I'm also content relaxing at home with my people. I'm treat motivated, which makes me a great candidate for training. I'm eager to learn new things and please you. I do tend to guard food and bones from other dogs, which is probably due to my past fighting for food as a stray puppy. I need a patient and understanding person who can help me with this habit. I'm good with children. I'm also good with female dogs and cats, but I'm not so great with male dogs. I LOVE female dogs and spend my time playing with them. I was saved from the Memphis Animal Services euthanasia list just in time, and I'm so grateful for a second chance. I'm currently being fostered in Raleigh, NC, but I can be transported to other states for the right home.
